Our principal, Martina Soderlund, recently spoke with ConstructConnect’s Daily Commercial News about Maple Meadows Four; Canada’s first self-storage facility to achieve Zero Carbon Building – Design certification from the CAGBC | Canada Green Building Council.

Team reLoad provided sustainability consulting on both operational and embodied carbon, helping the project meet rigorous design standards while planning for long-term climate performance.

This project, developed by Nicola Real Estate, shows that even industrial building types can lead the way in climate-focused design. Maple Meadows Four is now pursuing its Zero Carbon – Performance certification, with the goal of achieving 100% net-zero energy on an annual basis.

Thanks to ConstructConnect for the feature—and to the full team behind this precedent-setting project.
